Ast/PS 367M: Phases of the Moon
Modifications for Unit 4

The directions suggest that you observe the moon's phase and relative position in the sky every possible night for an entire month.

You must triangulate the moon by using stars and/or planets. If you use a planet, we will find its RA/dec and mark its current position (for the date of your measurement) on your SC-1 chart.

If you do five sets of observations with real data (sketch of the phase and separation between the moon and each of two stars), you may complete the unit with computer data taken from the "Starry Night" program.
