When using the cross-staff, always convert the measurements with the nomograph before averaging them.
The easiest way to calculate standard deviation is to use Snedecor's rough check. This is the method that you may use throughout the remainder of the course.
Draw your graphs large enough to see!
Plan your data tables in advance so that you leave enough room in your notebook.
Put enough information in your notebook so that you can look back later and identify what you did. You will always use your notebook in giving your short talk to a classmate. Make it your tool.
